newsletter newsletter newsletter

Our semi-annual newsletter, Lest-We-Forget, Wyoming County Pioneers, edited by Paula Radwanski, is a treasure-trove of genealogical and historical data about Wyoming County and the surrounding area. We're very proud to publish it every February and September, and each issue is packed with over 50 pages of births, marriages, deaths, wills, bible records, local news items from old newspapers, articles from local historians and letters from long ago.

It also contains the research queries from our members and friends who are looking for family history information.

Wyoming County Cemetery Map
The Wyoming County Cemetery Map is the result of a two-year project to locate cemeteries, burial sites and cemeteries that have been removed to other locations. In all, 119 cemeteries in Wyoming County have been marked on this map.

The name of the cemetery (if more than one name has been found, each is listed), WCHS cemetery number, township/borough, street/road location and notes are given for some cemeteries. The notes describe cemeteries on private property, if no grave markers were found at the site and cemeteries that were removed from original site, etc.

The map measures 21 3 ⁄ 4” x 34” and is on semi-gloss coated paper. Each township is colored to easily show boundary lines. A Legend contains PA Traffic Routes, Private Roads, Township Roads and State Game Lands.

We wish to give a special thank-you to the Wyoming County Office of Community Planning for help with the mapping project.
